7 signs that he is nothing more than a player
Women encounter different types of men, but players appear to be the most dominant. One of the main reasons for this is that they are always the loudest men in the room and don’t mind being the centre of attention.
That’s why your focus is always on them, rather than on some withdrawn, shy guy who may have even better qualities.
With so many players on the field, women must learn to read between the lines to identify and avoid them.
And, while it’s difficult to judge a man’s character and intentions at first glance, some warning signs will help you avoid the agony of dating a womaniser:
1. He usually texts and rarely calls.
Texting is a way for a player to keep you at arm’s length. Calling you would be far more personal. You can hear the tone of someone’s voice change while calling or video chatting with them.
You can also see their facial movements. All that is taken away from you when you text. A player will also never respond to a text message right away.
2. He gives too much too soon.
He simply rushes things. He’ll start talking about your future and naming your children, and you’ll be like, “I’m not even sure what his last name is.”
He will declare his love for you after only a few weeks or months of dating. Men usually don’t go around telling women they love them so soon if they truly mean it.
3. He has a roving eye.
He is constantly looking at other girls. He’s doing it so openly that you’re embarrassed to be sitting or standing next to him.
Of course, you are free to observe other men and women. It’s natural to notice and possibly admire the beauty of those around you.
But if he’s doing it in a sleazy way, hoping to elicit a jealous reaction or prove his machismo, he’s not only being a jerk and making you feel bad, but he’s openly stating that he’s not there for anything serious.
4. He’s surrounded by females.
It seems that 80 per cent of his social media friends are women. He meets some of his female friends every time you go out with him, but he never introduces you to them.
He always makes googly eyes with them, and you get the impression that the whole situation is awkward. Listen to your inner voice—if something doesn’t feel right, it probably is.
5. He has a negative reputation.
He is a self-professed womaniser, so the story that follows him is not for nought. He has a great story about why he is labelled as a womaniser, but all of the players are good storytellers.
It’s not because your friends are jealous that they are constantly warning you about him. It’s because they have your best interests at heart, and you should think about what they say.
6. You’ve never met anyone who means a lot to him.
He keeps his personal life separate from yours. He didn’t introduce you to any of his close friends or family members. He is also uninterested in meeting people you care about.
If he isn’t making an effort to incorporate you into his life, it means he doesn’t intend to pursue a more serious relationship with you.
7. Everything he says is ambiguous.
He never gives you a definitive answer. When you make plans, he always says, “We’ll see!” or “Maybe, I can’t answer that right now.” And it appears that all of his responses are vague.
You can never plan anything with him because he can’t tell you anything ahead of time. He also has a habit of cancelling plans at the last minute, even when you are all dressed up and ready to go.
